Special payments
so that you can enjoy your vacation and the vacations.
During the Christmas period and for a vacation, costs are quickly higher than usual, whether for gifts or for a vacation trip. Employers can therefore pay a so-called special payment, also known as a Christmas bonus or vacation bonus. This is an "optional benefit". Collective agreements may stipulate whether the employer must make a special payment and how much it should be. In general, it is not specified how high a special payment may or should be. In companies where a special payment is made, it is usually a fixed amount or between a third and a full month's salary. If the amount of the special payment is not regulated in the employment contract or collective agreement, the payment may also depend on the economic situation of the company. The special payment is subject to tax and social security contributions.
