Health promotion measures
Compensation for professional stress.
Up to a set limit, employers can promote preventive health measures for you tax-free. These can be, for example, addiction prevention, nutritional advice, stress prevention or participation in certified prevention courses. Membership fees for sports clubs, fitness studios or entrance fees for swimming pools or saunas or costs for massages are not health promotion measures. These are either to be assessed as tax-free benefits in kind or, if the limits for tax-free benefits in kind have already been exceeded by other measures, are not tax-exempt at all.
Health promotion measures tend to be offered less frequently by logistics companies, as they compete with other measures for tax purposes, which are more popular with most employees. In addition, the documentation and administrative costs for companies are comparatively high.
In order to receive the fairerjob@logistics premium seal, employers can select the financing of health promotion measures as one of the criteria.
