Assumption of costs for driving license renewal

A valid driving license for categories C, CE, C1 or C1E is a prerequisite for you as a driver to carry out commercial goods transport with vehicles with a maximum permissible mass of more than 3.5 tons. This driving license must be renewed every five years. In addition to the application, an ophthalmologist's certificate and a medical certificate confirming your physical and mental fitness to drive a truck as well as proof of further training and a current biometric passport photo are required.

The driving license renewal is the responsibility of the employee, as the driving license is the basis for exercising the profession. As a driver, you must therefore bear these costs yourself. Some companies cover the fees charged by the driving license authority for the renewal of the driving license.
