Assumption of accommodation costs during the regular weekly rest period for drivers
so that you can sleep better and recover.
If you cannot spend the night at home for the regular weekly rest period on a long-distance trip, you may not spend the night in the truck. The costs for an overnight stay for the regular weekly rest period outside the truck must be covered by the employer. This is stipulated by law and companies with the fairerjob@logistics seal actually implement this requirement. Most companies try to plan tours in such a way that you can spend the regular weekly rest period at home. However, sometimes this doesn't work because the tour is too long, for example in international long-distance transport.
In order to receive the fairerjob@logistics seal, employers must cover the costs of overnight accommodation outside the driver's cab for the regular weekly rest period for their employees if such tours occur in the company.
